So-make gnocchi. freeze. dust with cornstarch. drop in fryer (with lid). open carefully, with bowl over top to catch flying dumplings. toss with sage butter. Devour. Sounds like a project to me!

The real fun, molecular-gastronomy-style, would be to serve them while they're still popping.
And I agree ... buffalo sauce on gnocchi does sound awful.
