I agree. Remember "Taste of Home?" It was an ad-free magazine that counted on contributions from readers. Then Pillsbury bought it and now it is nothing but an avenue for advertising for the Doughoy. Fuzzy said awhile back that the board would be abandoned, and that is exactly what happened. |

Just in case anyone missed this deliciousness on the other bb - it's for something like a Pig Cake (is it April Fools a day late??): Instead of the whipped cream; use sour cream. its delicious, and spreads much easier. you wouldnt think it would taste good but its how ive always made this cake. 1 Vanilla Cake mix *follow normal cake directions/ingredients* *add mandarin oranges to the mix *add half a bag of the dry pudding mix (i also add a 1/4 cup milk to moisten cake) Mix all together with a blender Bake for 30-40 minutes While cake is baking Prepare the Cake topping Mix together- 1 box dry pudding mix vanilla (i use cheesecake flavor) 1 can Crushed Pineapple (drained) 16oz of Sour Cream stir together ingredients until thickened- this will sometimes turn a yellow color. Refrigerate. When cake is done let cool and refrigerate. You can top the cake once it has fully cooled. For decoration- I slice an orange into a thin O and put directly in the top middle of the cake refrigerate and enjoy<3 |
