I have been following the evolution of .gif recipes. They have been growing in volume until they are everywhere, all the time. But, of more interest to me is that they are starting to teach people to actually cook real food. At first, all I was seeing was variations on
cheese + bread. Then a wave of
college student stuff. Then a flood of
party food. And, this week... real food.
This, for example. Not that the other items aren't real food. But, this is an actual meal. Something you could feed your family for Sunday dinner or a holiday.
What do you all think? Is this a tool to get the next generation interested in cooking? Is it a fad?
