I switched away from Mac Gourmet. Unfortunately, they weren't really updating the mobile app or fixing up syncing and the like, then they sold it and seem to be just milking it instead of making it a better product. I've been much happier with Paprika; they aren't *that* active, but do seem to keep reasonably on top of it.

Linda, I use Hot Pot to see my recipes on the iPad. Easy to use, transfer fdxz files from LC to Hot Pot.

Paul-
I found this on the support page for Paprika for handling various file types. Looks straightforward but I won't know until i try.

Hot Pot is an ios app. Check the app store for it. You download it to your iPad, then connect it to iTunes in your pc. Find it in apps, then add the fdxz files you want to see on your iPad. After the sync is done, you open the app, find the file/s and download. It sound harder than it is.

An update...so far I am loving Paprika. Its ability to synch across devices is worth the price of admission ~$30. I still have a ways to go before I am utilizing all of its features but so far so good. It feels great to cull out recipes that I have not used but saved. Missing from Paprika though is an easy way to save "collected recipes" that do not have website reference. For now there'll reside in a scanned images folder until I find time to digitize them.

I used many many devices and computers. For storage of individual files I love drop box, I can see it from anywhere on anything basically, and I don't have to worry about backups.

I second DropBox. It can fill up pretty quickly though if used for photos.
