The author has written a 30-post blog trying to make various silly foods in the waffle iron (pizza, mac & cheese, panini, squid). She's currently on post 29.

So we did the latke waffles this morning. They were really good. Some notes on Deb's recipe:

1. the "batter" will be a fairly gloopy paste of eggy potato bits, not a liquid.

2. Spread the batter *thin* on the waffle iron; it puffs up quite a bit.

3. Contrary to her recommendation, I recommend putting the waffles on baking racks in a 400F oven to crisp up.

I hope to do the Mac and cheese waffle soon. It's been lurking at the back of my mind for weeks now.
