I have to admit that I'll probably bite the bullet and get the all-site access once my current subscription is up. I like having remote access to recipes as I am never organized enough to make a grocery list (or remember which cookbook exactly a recipe was from). I almost always cook with my ipad now.

I took the bait since I use the sites all the time. Even when I have the cookbooks or magazines, it is easier to look it up and copy and paste into living cookbook. I am still working my way through some old favorite tried and true to copy into LC so I can have them in my iPad. BTW, you get the pdf of the Buying Guide with it. I already copied it into Evernote to have with me. I still use that a lot absent other sources, not so much for what is best as to what is bad and why.

I used the new site today and was disappointed to note that I can't use it as a free index for CC recipes anymore. It's fine for CI, but I couldn't find a date for a stuffed pepper recipe I wanted to make from CC. Fortunately, my little goblin was willing to give up playing the Google doodle long enough for me to look it up on Living Cookbook, but I can see this being a problem down the road.

I would be happy to post any recipes from CC you need. I've never subscribed to the magazine, just use the site.

Grrrr, I had paid for the editors choice cookbook recipe access before the upgrade, and now it's telling me I don't have it. Will have to call customer service.

Is anyone else but me irritated by the seemingly constant weird use of 'umami' producing glutamates (anchovies, mushrooms, burnt tomato sauce) in all recipes lately? It's to the point where it makes no sense (the pressure cooker book sticks mushrooms in recipes that they have no place in, like Sunday gravy, anchovies are used everywhere like the new beef and chicken stew recipes, soy sauce and tomato paste are in practically every beef dish...). I'd rather just have normal recipes, thanks. Hold the anchovies unless it's a Caesar salad.

I have all the annuals. I just liked to use the website to find which book they were in. I always put the date in any recipes I add to LC, but somehow my computer is the kid's computer as well. Now that I have an iPod, it might be time to update LC so that I can access them even when my computer is being used for an epic Adventures of Super Grover 2.0 session. :geek:

You might want to check out Hot Pot. It works on iPads and may work on iPods. You just transfer fdx/z files to it and you can see the recipes including pictures beautifully. It even has timers. I have about 2/3 of mine in, still working on the rest. I have all my the ones I've made, working on the ones I'd like to make.
