Interesting tip -- anybody tried it? I'd love to put it in the EYB Blog -- the tip on how to tell at the store if an avocado is brown is still one of the most popular I've posted.

Ok, so either my sight has really gone or the tip is not there. What am I missing?

Thank you. I would have never guess that was a link. I try to put mine in color so it is obvious to folks like me.

JB,

Yeah, I'd like to see some serious half-to-half tests on this before I'd buy it. Among other things, his chemistry is faulty; onions produce S-oxide, not "sulfuric acid". Sulfuric acid *is* produced as a byproduct of S-oxide reacting with the saltwater of your tears, but last I checked, avocados do not have salty tears. Also, one would expect a strong acid to brown the avocado faster, not slower.

Alina,

Unfortunately, some bugs in the board make it impossible to color links. When you add color to them, they stop working as links. :-(
