My wife and I use Grocery IQ, a free iphone app. It lets us synch lists, so that an item shows up on both phones when either of us enters it.

You can speak an item, type it, or bar code scan. We keep separate lists for Kroger, Lowes, Sam's, etc.

A favorite feature is that items go to an "aisle" (canned goods, dairy, meat, etc.) on the list, and you can arrange the sequence of the aisles as they are in your store. You check off items as you put them in the cart.

Have any of you found similar apps that you recommend?

Wegmans has its own app - scan a barcode and it tells you Wegmans' price, the aisle of your favorite Wegmans that it's on, and lets you add it to your shopping list (which it then arranges in aisle order).

We don't get to ours very often but I've used it as a comparison shopping tool at Costco.

My Pantry2 for Android. There's a free app, but I paid for an upgrade. It links to nearly all grocery stores ad flyers, has a scanner feature, and you can have a substantial pantry/freezer inventory.
