Fannie Farmer's oven has finally been permanently turned "off" at the age of 90. Quite the life she had!

I really liked her. Use her books frequently, especially the one about lost recipes. Her pineapple upside down cake is a family favorite here

Her cookbooks for kids are great too. She will be missed for certain.

I took a class from her, in the early days of Aspen Food and Wine classic.
She was terrific....it was a pie crust class and she passed around bowls of the various stages of mixing flour and fat so we could feel it. Made a huge difference.

I have to admit that when I saw this this morning, I honestly thought that Marion Ross passed away and then I started thinking, "Wait a minute, that was her characters name on Happy Days. Why would Fuzzy make a post about a character on a TV show passing away?" Then I read the post and I had one of those "DUH" moments.
