The Carrot Layer Cake is from the May\June 2012 issue. The cream cheese icing has buttermilk powder in it that sends it way over the top. Yum.

Can't be sure if it is YR's recipe until a magazine fills my mailbox, but the Jan\Feb Issue of CI has a Butterscotch Pudding recipe with caramel made from scratch.

YR's Chocolate Shortbread Sandwich Cookies over at Serious Eats may also be worth a look if you know anybody who likes chocolate.

I only recently discovered her Chicken Dinners column, also at Serious Eats. The two crust Chicken Pot Pie is on my short list.
