I have just copied over 100 pages of posts about Marilyn's Toffee from TOBB. I am questioning my use of time not to mention my sanity.

What are your opinions on what is worthwhile copying/capturing from the TOBB? I know this question is pretty cook specific -- some of you will want/need nothing -- others maybe will want a few topics for posterity or otherwise.

So far I've copied stuff on Marilyn's Toffee, Pennie's caramels, straining stock.

Well, there's my insightful and pithy comments on the sugar debate.

Truly, very little as long as the other parts of CI remain intact. I would simply reference any of their recipes and ask here for suggested improvements. Many of us have made and recorded modifications that we would be happy to share. For instance, I have a few hundred such recipes, all converted to Word. :D

There is the biscuit recipe originally from Pam Anderson (no not THAT Pam Anderson) that Crystal and the thread made legendary. There are so many that I forgot what I'd even want to look up. Hopefully when I printed stuff along the way, it was the more important posts and recipes. And perhaps Kurt has some input about how to find it all...

I kept the important recipes. The posts not so much, as I think of them more as conversations.

Information is ephemeral. I'm just going to let it go on its way to the void (null). There are new recipes to make, new things to try, and old favorites to savour. Tonight, Korean Short ribs! Bu I ignored any previous wisdom. They were still great.

I must be confused. Was it Crystal or Pam Anderson that became legendary and why????

I was referring to a particular much requested biscuit recipe that Crystal had praised and the phenomenally long thread which followed. Crystal was/is certainly a treasured presence (along with many others). :D I personally love Amy's mac and cheese which was also posted on TOBB.

As I recall, there were one or two very informative appliance threads that I want to copy, but have not found the time.

I guess I could be doing that right now instead of playing...............hahaha

If I could recover anything, it would be the humor threads.

All the recipes I wanted (or wrote) are already copied elsewhere.

However, I haven't found it worth the time to find them in the last 2 years, so I doubt I will now ...
