It's seaweed!
http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/11/02/a-new-leafThem folk who tell us what we should be eating right now seem to be promoting seaweed as the next "superfood". Of course, they're also promoting barley, black rice, amaranth, dandelion greens, califlower, and something called "morinaga". I like to imagine a huge gladiator pit where the lobbyists for the various new superfoods battle to the death.
But I hope it's seaweed, because I like seaweed, and I'd love to see more varieties of it being available outside of Japanese markets.
What's your pick for "superfood of 2016"?
