I just made a big pot of potato soup (chowder really). I have officially declared soup season so I will be needing good ideas from you brainy types.

I agree!! Soup season! I think tomorrow will be corn chowdah. A Particular favorite. As most of you know, DD is adopted at a teen age, and is FLABBERGASTED that you can make soup!! Poor darling. Didn't know it didn't always come out of a red and white can.

With a foot and a half of snow on my back deck, it is most definitely time for soup, stew and braises....but I can't get to the store today.

I'm going to try Cook's Country Crock Pot Baked Beans tomorrow. I've been wanting some home baked beans for a while, and those sounded kind of good. Usually I just wing it - thought I'd use a recipe this time.
