Hey Frankie Boy - What's the cost of chili (w/o the beans)? :D

I know some folks here that have a buffalo farm and they get about $6.00 a pound for it. I've bought the ground, never a steak.

I was briefly the proud owner of a 1/2 portion of a water buffalo calf, My cattle ranching uncle decided that he wanted to try water buffalo, but quickly found the mother to be less than cordial. Just plain meaner than hell...her and the calf quickly were taken to the sale.

I had no luck at all when I asked him to milk momma so I could make cheese...

Bison.

Bison meat is lower in fat and cholesterol than beef.

Pete,
I know what bison is, I just don't know what it costs here... sorry I am obviously losing my tenuous command of the English language. There is a restaurant up the street from me that serves it and it is fantastic but you have to get a bank loan before ordering it.

Frank,

So did you get to eat any? I'm just curious why you don't see water buffalo as meat much; they're they 3rd most popular livestock in the world. I was wondering if they were really gamy or tough or something.
