OMG Pete, Where have I been? I fractured a few ribs but nothing compared to what you've been going thru. My best wishes to Kathy and I hope you are staying strong, and healthy. Please, please know that I'm thinking of you and have only good thoughts.

Hope everything is going well. Keep us posted. Maybe some banana bread to keep the potassium up?

All the best to you both, and could we send you any soup?

They've just moved Kathy out of the ICU and into a regular room (gotta love these modern hospitals with free WiFi). She was up on her feet today (wth assistance) and isn't hooked up to any tubes, pumps or monitors anymore.

She'll spend about a week in a rehab hospital getting some strength and balance back before coming home.

So glad to hear Kathy is on the mend. Best thoughts and wishes. Take it slowly and don't forget to take care of yourself Pete. I know you probably will but sometimes, in times of crisis, people forget about themselves. Please let me know if there's anything I can do. I'm well connected with Columbia Presby in NYC.

Pete, Glad Kathy's doing better, that is great news! I'll keep her in my prayers. Hang tough.

OK, now we're at a Rehabilitation Hospital in town (free WiFi again for those who are keeping track). Kathy will be getting a few hours of therapy daily. As I type she's reading the new CI "Cooking for Two" title for inspration. She's coming along very well. No walker or cane but they don't want her walking without assistance yet. There's a nasty alarm on the wheelchair in case she gets up out of that - she's been thwarting that by sitting on her bed instead of the wheelchair.
