I know some of y'all are still shovelling snow.

But I just grilled veggie souvlaki today. High of 75F, and sunny.

Come summer though, we're really going to be regretting this ... could ya maybe ship some of that snow over here?

I'm in the Northern Rockies and it's been rather warm here as well.
I'm thinking of breaking out the grill in the next few days for a filet with mushrooms.

South Florida here. I spent the day communing with my smoker: 6 pounds of smoked salmon bites and 2 large batches of bacon wrapped onion rings for a party next weekend. And dinner - Italian sausage and mini hassleback potatoes.

I think I missed out entire winter the two weeks I was in South Africa. I was hoping to smoke some cheese but it doesn't look like it will get cold enough again this year.

A long stretch of cold weather has resulted in deepest frost in 40 or more years around here. Water mains are breaking in the city, septic tanks are freezing, and well plumbing is freezing in the ground.

Rumors that the Massachusetts ice cap will last through the summer and and will usher in the beginning of a new ice age are probably not true.

Lisa, my brother lives in Bradenton and if he texts me one more picture of lush green scenery and people in shorts, I might have to kill him. This weekend it warmed up some here in Virginia but the snow and ice again last week was like the icing on the proverbial cake. Enough!!

Emilie

p.s. Bacon wrapped onion rings sound like heaven on a plate.

It's 'snow fun anymore! Word has it Massachusetts got Alaska's winter this year due to a wonky jet stream pattern. Hasn't stopped us from grilling outside though!
