Aaaaaaaarg!!!

So sorry this is still an ongoing thing Todd. It's horrible to be left high and dry for so long without a working stove (and I thought my 6 week back order when my stove went was bad). Hopefully BBQ season hangs in for you for a while longer. I also found buying a cheap plug in element (a $25 coil type I found at Canadian Tire) and my Breville Smart oven made life bearable while I was waiting. Between the two I could pretty much do anything but roast a turkey.

I think it's time for you to get hold of Fred J. Carl, President, Founder and CEO of Viking Range. You probably won't get him but will get his assistant and I can almost guarantee you will get a straight answer. I'd tell them all you've been through including what their rep told you.Their phone number is on their web site. In my experience, if you don't go straight to the top you don't get anywhere at all.

If it were a common brand, you can find the part #, using the appliance model numer, at sears parts direct, or, repairclinic.com. Then, order from universalapplianceparts.com. It will save you vast amounts of money, just ask Mr. Roper. Todd, if all avenues fail, id try this place-allvikingparts.com.
Seriously, we fix almost every single appliance we have that has a problem, from broken doors and motherboards on $$washers, to motherboards on $$$$$ pos monogram refrigerators.

Because my oven was purchased 17 years ago, they don't make the board anymore that was used for my oven. They did use basically the same box and update the panel that has all the knobs and the board underneath. Ernie has ordered one of the later versions of the panel and the board thinking that might work. Looking inside the cavity where the wires are for the oven, there are only three wire connectors and about 10 wires, so I am hoping this will work.

Crystal,
It's nice to see you here again. Thanks for the info. I did try the allvikingparts.com and when I talked to them, they did not have any oven parts in stock for my oven and that they would have to order it from Viking. I did do a search for my model number and I have found some floor models that I might have to buy in case this doesn't work. The bad thing right now is Viking doesn't make a 36" oven anymore. My cupboard is built for a 36" oven, so if I have to replace my oven, I will have to fill in a 3" gap on each side of a new 30" oven, because that is what they sell now.
