I just Google Mapped the directions from Bay City to Telluride. 1660 miles and what looks like would be a great ride! I didn't realize you so far West of Denver. I just figured out that the gas for my Harley would cost me almost $600 round trip. It would be cheaper to fly.

All I can say also is "yum". Wish I lived closer.

Thanks Josh, I know what you mean.

Ilene, it's July 21st. I'm glad you'll be in Telluride this Fall! Hopefully, I'll be in town. There's a slight chance I'll be in NYC then. I'm not where the Hickenlooper fundraiser was held, but if it's not on Main St., it can't be far off it!

Crap! I'm supposed to be in Ohio on July 21. Now wondering if I can get out of it...

Todd, this little corner of paradise is rather difficult to get to! But, well worth it.

Darc, It would be so awesome if you could be here. We've tried other times...perhaps this will be it?

I just got home from the last day of the event, and I'm exhausted. I also ended up doing one of the Friday events at an architect's studio, which may have been a little bit of an over commitment given that I couldn't afford to pay for any prep people. (This is a loss leader event for every artist, architect and chef participating.)

I couldn't be happier about how everything went. My food was extremely well received, and I got a ton of new business leads, including the owner of the house I catered for today. She wants me to cater an event during Film Festival for her, and to do cooking classes for friends of hers out of her house.

I also won second prize (a cash prize, YEAH) amongst all artists (people's vote) behind one of the leading (and best) architecture firms in town.

And, the owner of Arroyo (a lovely wine bar) wants to meet with me to discuss their aspirations for moving into tapas.

A good weekend indeed.

What a fantastic outcome! I know you worked your fingers to the bone to get it all done, and I bet it was all fabulous. Congrats!
