And I got the job! I start on August 13th, which gives me time to get everything under control, since I now have to find permanent, or at least semi-permanent housing in Beloit, WI. I am now the lead baker for Beloit College, which is much like being the lead baker at McMurdo, but with the option of leaving campus. The money is ok, and the benefits are good. And Beloit is much cheaper to live in than Chicago, so my effective increase in income is even larger. It's all a bit nerve-racking, to be honest. But I think it will be fun, too. |

Good work, and I know you'll teach the students a thing or two. |
