Laurie - I just checked the site and the report of the mother eagle being killed is still on there. The eaglets were removed from the nest. The video is from another site.

Ya, this is a different nest. Now I still feel bad for the Virginia eagles, but glad it's not the one's I am watching in Iowa.

Gives credence to old saying concerning hanging out with turkeys instead of soaring with eagles, turkeys don't get sucked into jet engines!  Lotsa turkeys over here...
