Paul-yes, you are right, they want engagement and brand loyalty and a comment section tries to do that. I guess I ought to have said that I was interested in the comments!

I wanted to show a screen shot here of an example but as far as I can tell that's not so easy here....

Paul,

Based on Lindsay's experience at BCP, I suspect that they are just "going through the motions".

I’m just checking in now. I became self employed. Then I hired staff, and I’ve been run off my feet ever since. Chris does most of the cooking now as he’s home way before me. So I’m not around much anymore. But it’s a good reminder that if we don’t nurture things we’ll lose them. I’d be really sad if this board went away.

Carey,

Congrats on the self-employment. What's your business?

I applaud anyone who runs a business. I know myself well enough to know I would tank in a few months. Congratulations on keeping it going!

I left the hospital and opened a private practice psychology clinic. Honestly, I feel like I spend almost as much time running the business as I do in clinical work these days.

I’m among those who just gradually got out of the habit of checking this board even though I learned so much from many of you over the years. Interesting thing is that it was totally unintentional and I didn’t really realize it. It just dawned on me just the other day when I was reading something about Portland (which made me think of you, Josh) that it had been ages since I’d been here and that’s what caused me to check in now. Sorry to see that it’s not just me. Thanks for all you did over the years, Josh!

What's sad is I don't get the information from the Culinary group on Facebook like I did here. This format is so much easier to use.

I agree, Todd - I'm still not a fan of facebook at all.

I just came on here last night to check out an old cocoa thread. Nobody on since I checked back in Oct. sometime. I do miss everyone, and all the sharing of info.

I felt like I was shouting down a hole-so I slunk away. We can post if we want to, we can leave your friends behind. Cause your friends don’t post and if they don’t post then they’re no friends of mine.
