I'm pretty good friends with most of the San Raphael police department (from the chief down) if you would like to schedule a tazing demonstration...volunteers??

I will defer to the bride on that one. My guess is no. 8-)

I'm up for either. My BFF took a train/wine tour to Napa two or three years ago, and said it was a blast. If I don't have any health problems and can go, I'll go wherever the rest of you want to go.

Frank,

Nah, if I want a tazing demonstration, I go to Oakland: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BART_Polic ... scar_Grant

If you're in San Rafael again, it has some of the best restaurants in the Bay Area, both the best South Indian and the best Puerto Rican.

I said tazing not killin'!! YIKES!

As a side note...I had a very good bowl of chili in an Oakland bar once...it of course was run and owned by a very misplaced Texan... :D

I'm going to have to be officially on the fence for this one. Work has been ridiculous for about a year and it probably won't let up by Aug/Sept.

Since Southwest flies to Oakland we'll be able to make tentative plans without any financial risk. Maybe Kathy will end up going solo (she''ll need a chaperone - just a forewarning...).

I'll know more as it gets closer. Once I get the OK they'd generally be good about not asking me to cancel. I just don't want to press my luck.

One thing. I'm firm on this. I will NOT go on The Bridge. I have reasons. Phobias. Ferry or swim the bay. Not the Bridge.

KSS,

Hmmm, that could be a challenge if we decide to do one day in Napa -- ferries here don't take cars. Is that any high bridge? Or the Golden Gate in particular?

All,

So, early September it is. Darcie and I will work out the details.

Given that Sept 4-5 is Labor Day, I have a conflict. That leaves September 11-12, or August 28-29 ... preferences, Darcie? Others?
