So, per prior discussion, I'd like to have a small meetup of the folks here in NorCal. This meetup should be on a Saturday, and probably in the city of San Francisco.

Above are some date options. Please check all the ones which would work for you, and add comments to this thread about specific availability or preferences. If I can get 4 RSVPs for one day, then we'll go with that.

If any of our members from other states/regions could visit, that would be even more keen!

Once we have a date, I'll arrange our activities. Possibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ferry Building Farmer's Market
  • Tour of Tcho chocolate factory
  • Walking foodie tour of Chinatown
  • Alemany Farmer's Market
  • Foodie tour of the Mission
  • Group cooking lesson
  • Cooking together in a commercial kitchen
  • Grillling in the Park
  • Dining out somewhere interesting and/or iconic (Zuni? Mission Chinese?)

The sparse dates are because of my work travel schedule ...

Hey, folks, if you answer yes to the poll above, please leave a comment! The poll doesn't tell me your name.

I would try to make it any of those dates. I love the ferry building but would be interested in the tcho as well. I'm pretty flexible.

Bump?

Based on the current responses, we're not having a meetup at all.

Sorry I've spaced on this. I've been meaning to check with DH and forgot. I know I can't in June. Since I probably would like DH to come (4 hour drive so would like to spend the night and do something fun for him before or after), for me the tour and/or eating options sound the best (as opposed to the cooking/grilling). I will try to remember to talk to him later today.

Right now I have other things planned about July/Aug, (fishing is involved) and the Mrs usually likes to do a trip somewhere.
I really like the idea, I'd be game for something sometime.

Ordinarily we'd try to make it there from this coast but we just booked another trip for July.

Well, we're officially not doing June 23rd now. Given the lack of response, I accepted an invitation to something else for that day.

Mark your choices if you're available in August!

[i] would love to meet up. However, I am very unsure of dates at this time. My dear hub will be retiring in June & our summer is very much up in the air. I did select dates I thought would be good for me.

SF would be a great place to meet up.
