Hi everyone:
We need your feedback. As you may have read in the other thread, Amy has had a fabulous promotion that means that she will be unavailable the weekend of Sept 16-19. Since this was all her idea, we need find another time when she will be available to come to Denver. She has suggested mid to late october, because her restaurant will be closed. My concern is the weather in Denver at that time can range from spectacular to cold and/or snowy. Will those of you that indicated that you would come, still come knowing the weather risk (it just could make getting around and enjoying the city a little sloppy). Amy will be busy from June through the first weekend in October, then her restaurant will close.
October is also the busiest convention month in Denver, so getting a good rate might be a problem.

Please give us some feedback....I have a meeting at Johnson & Wales tomorrow morning and would like to know....so go ahead and post your thoughts tonight and I will read them when I get home.

Thanks,
ilene

I'm OK with mid to late October, and I won't have a problem with the weather...it's usually better than here regardless...

Thought I posted but somehow it got lost. Russ and I are hoping to go to France 10/5-10/18 so we won't be able to make this if our plans work out.
Sorry!!!

I'm up in the air regardless of the date, all depends on hockey, schedules, prices of flights, etc. Whatever date you guys pick I'll try to make.
Would the columbus day holiday be an issue? I thought you have the first Monday off, which is the Canadian thanksgiving.

There is a Moscow in Vermont; you could visit our illustrious, bow-tied leader

Well, it seems there simply isn't enough interest and/or availability for an October meet-up in Denver. Ilene and I would be willing to host an event in the future (May 2012?) if there's interest.

We have secured a kitchen with lots of prep space at Johnson & Wales University and they said next year sometime would be fine. We would just have to avoid graduation week, which is typically the third week of May.
I hope we can do this next year; I would really love to meet you all in person, finally.
