Tim, There are worse airports than Denver (O'Hare, Atlanta, Newark ...). And Denver is a regional hub, which makes it a fair-priced direct flight from most places. Hmmmm ... Montreal. I could make a Montreal or Quebec City trip if it started on May 22nd. |

If it's somewhere we would need to fly to I'm hoping (a) it's a Southwest city and (b) we do something before July (we have a few hundred $ in Southwest credit that will expire in July - gotta go somewhere, might as well be about food). Hey, Southwest flies to Minneapolis now! Darcie?  (Denver works also...) |

Lessee, Unibroue is in Chambly, near Montreal, and New Belgium brewery is in Fort Collins, Colorado. Please don't pick either because it will just give me more reasons to regret that I can't afford to go no matter where you have it. |

I think Quebec City or Montreal would be fantastic! (My preference being Quebec City.) The one issue I know may be a breaker for some is the extra cost if you don't already have a passport. Amy |

Amy, Well, I'm going to a conference in ottawa from May 17-20. So I could easily pop over to Quebec City. If we schedule it at a different time, though, who knows. I didn't even think about the passport issue. I've had a current passport since I was 10. That's a Jewish thing, I think; European Jewish families learned the value of keeping a current passport. Anyway ... you haven't extolled us with the foodie virtues of Denver. I'm still waiting to hear what's there other than steakhouses. |
