Tim,
There are worse airports than Denver (O'Hare, Atlanta, Newark ...). And Denver is a regional hub, which makes it a fair-priced direct flight from most places.
Hmmmm ... Montreal. I could make a Montreal or Quebec City trip if it started on May 22nd.

Crystal, Given that we've never met in 7 years of online correspondance? You can tweak my beard if you want. Just show up.

If it's somewhere we would need to fly to I'm hoping (a) it's a Southwest city and (b) we do something before July (we have a few hundred $ in Southwest credit that will expire in July - gotta go somewhere, might as well be about food). Hey, Southwest flies to Minneapolis now! Darcie? (Denver works also...)

Quebec City is beautiful, as is Montreal. And I could try to use my french that I haven't had to break out in 10 years or so.

Lessee, Unibroue is in Chambly, near Montreal, and New Belgium brewery is in Fort Collins, Colorado. Please don't pick either because it will just give me more reasons to regret that I can't afford to go no matter where you have it.

I think Quebec City or Montreal would be fantastic! (My preference being Quebec City.) The one issue I know may be a breaker for some is the extra cost if you don't already have a passport.

Regardless of any formal meetups we arrange, I hope you all know that if any of you are in the Tampa Bay area, I would love to introduce you to Gulfport, where I live. It is a wonderful little artist community with some of the most amazing restaurants in the state: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkP0KsXMxMEBet the beach is sounding pretty good to my friends in the north right about now

Amy,
Well, I'm going to a conference in ottawa from May 17-20. So I could easily pop over to Quebec City. If we schedule it at a different time, though, who knows.
I didn't even think about the passport issue. I've had a current passport since I was 10. That's a Jewish thing, I think; European Jewish families learned the value of keeping a current passport.
Anyway ... you haven't extolled us with the foodie virtues of Denver. I'm still waiting to hear what's there other than steakhouses.
