All,

Someone who logged in to post porn has been deleted & banned. Thanks for Frank for the rapid alert.

Sending me a private message when this happens is fairly effective.

FWIW, the spammer was a real person who created a real login, lurked for 4 weeks, and then spammed us. I can't prevent such activity, but I can very quickly delete their posts and ban them.

I saw it also but was a bit nervous about opening the offending posts on my work network to delete them (is there any way to delete posts or threads without opening the specific posts?). I banned the user, called Kathy to ask her to delete the posts, and in the meantime you got there ahead of her.

Funny that he lurked for a month before spamming, I guess the soup of the week just didn't do it for him.

Answering my own question - an Admin can delete the user and remove all their posts with one stroke.

I tried it on Frank -- JOKE! :D

Yes ... the admins (me & Pete) can delete a spammer, ban their IP, and delete all their posts with a few clicks.

That's why I'm not that worried about this kind of spam; it takes the spammer more effort than it takes me.
