Frequently when I try to sign in with IE I get a message that the webpage is not responding with an option to 'recover webpage", then I can sign in. Is this an IE problem? Should I just use Firefox instead.
This stuff is over my head.

In general, the question "Should I use IE" is answered with "No". Firefox (or Chrome) will work better, and be a safer browsing experience. The absolute newest version of IE in win 8.1 isn't all that bad actually, but all before that are.

For maximum safety and speed on Windows, I'd generally recommend Chrome if you don't mind installing a new browser.

Linda,

I have no idea what that message means. It is peculiar to IE.
