You know, Frank, 7 hours in a car going anywhere has got to equal a plane trip! ;)

Re: Fuzzy and spelling; if it's mispelled is it Fuzzy or vice versa?

This is fun! - picking on Fuzzy while he's gone AND he's not checking in!!

Thomas Kellar's Sweated Onions. It is in the Bistro cook book which I don't have handy. You use this and his dark beef stock to make his French Onion Soup, but they are good anyplace slow cooked onions work, and they freeze well. I do them in 20 lb batchs and it takes about 10 hours.

Well, Fuzzy's spelling is normally pretty good. Sorry I misunderstood the nature of the porn (visual versus verbal), I guess I like to get my jollies in the literary format and forget that most folks prefer something less... thinky. ; )

Banned two users this AM.

There seems to be a partial auto-delete function.

If you ban somebody and then from the moderator control panel open a topic they have posted in, their post may be auto-deleted. On the other hand it may not or you may drop out of moderator mode. In which case do it a second time, which always seemed to work. Deleted about 14 spam and 6 mild porn.

I saw you on this AM while I was madly deleting (from Kathy's account) myself.

Are you saying a moderator can delete all of a banned person's posts? That would be quicker than what I had to do.

There should be a way for us to know when another of us has banned someone besides reading through all of the banned reports (i.e., the name should be highlighted or whatever). I had banned everyone back to April 13th approx. (either permanently if they posted something or for two weeks if the name was gibberish, hence my emails to both of you. My thought was that Fuzzy could make the final decision upon his return. It would save time for all of us if the banned were highlighted in some form. Anyway, I just permanently banned the name starting with EE. Also, I am away from my home until Sunday afternoon but can check in sometimes.

K's Pete, all I can describe it as is that I had banned somebody and then when I went to remove the message it disappeared when I opened the topic, but only from that topic. And only if I was coming from the moderator's control panel. And it would only last for 3 or 4 times before I had to re-enter the moderator's control panel. I may have been doing something else.

I banned everybody who joined on or after April 1, yesterday. If any are real they can re-join and ask to be unbanned, but all names seemed to be gibberish, all websites that I checked were either selling Viagra or soft porn and posts were soft porn, drugs or gibberish.
