:D This is actually on another board, but.....when people who love you and know you love to cook, gift you, what odd things do they give you? Not everyone, of course, but didn't you ever get something so strange in the cooking realm that it practically defies explanation? I had a wonderful aunt, and real "great dame" who died at 94, and one of her gifts to me was a battery operated flour sifter. It sort of looked like a regular sifter, but you put the flour in, and it, uh, vibrates, ya know, just sifting-vibrating that flour.........

Anyone else receive something......strange?

I've given people the fancy dish gloves, with faux-fur cuffs and spangles.

I got one of those brushes (Daffy Duck version) for my Dad a few years ago. It lived in the kitchen, totally unused, for an absolute age. It reminded me of the little mop in Cold Comfort Farm.

I now have a cupboard full of things my mother-in-law has gotten me because I love to cook. The weirdest is a mug that holds approximately 1 quart that came with a tiny, 3-inch whisk. The whisk has actually been useful for when my moisturizer separates.

KSS,

Ye gods! It is Guy Fieri.

Boy, I'm going to have fun scrubbing my veggies with it now ...
