I don't know about Canada, but I solve the recycling problem by using the recycling envelopes (both the envelopes and the postage are free) from Nespresso. I use an S hook to hang it from a shelf close to the laundry room door in the garage. When it is full, I put it out for UPS to pick up with their next delivery. The machine holder keeps 2-3 days for us. Being somewhat OCD, I use a small plastic tray with a paper towel in the kitchen and dump the drawer when full into it. When it is full, about a week's worth, I dump it in the recycle bag. I order the recycle bags with my coffee order.

FWIW, I am really enjoying the Cafecito de Cuba. I put about 1/4 tsp. of sugar (I use a Cuban espresso tiny spoon not full) on the bottom of my favorite small glass mug and use 2 capsules of it every morning. A bit of the second run of each goes into my latte along with my new latte favorite Envivo Lungo.

They don't do the mail option but gave me a bag to collect them which I can drop back to their boutiques or to a chain that sells the machine. Neither are close to me and hubby doesn't want to hang on to them. I can rip them open....but don't. :-(
I found a Nessie Press and might be ordering one of those but the website doesn't strike me as completely legit or secure.

An FYI for the Canucks here - my local No Frills was clearing out their PC brand, Nespresso compatible "Vivace" pods (intensity 4) for 1.47 for 10. I bought one, tried it and went back and got a few more. YMMV, but might be worth a check.
