Someone on another board mention that their blade was packed like a size 10 shoe in a size 8 box! Exactly.

So, my new blade is loose ... it doesn't fit the shaft in the Cuisinart tightly, and as a result tends to pop off if you run it for a while with dry ingredients. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine requires some pressure to get it off. Is it seated all the way to the bottom? If it slides in and out all the way to the bottom easily, you need the blade or the shaft replaced. Time to call Cuisinart Customer Service. I had to replace the shaft on my very first one, in 1977. They sent a new one and talked me through the switch on the phone.

Yeah, it slides all the way easily. I've contacted Cuisinart.

Interesting. I wonder if they sent you the wrong blade or if there's that much variationi in the manufacture, although that would seem unlikely.
