If anyone missed this recall: https://consumerist.com/2016/12/13/cuis ... k-to-1996/ Anyone have the models named? I'm going to check mine now. |

Wino, Mine is included. Now I have to decide if I want to send it in or not; it's not like I use it much. Oh, looks like you just need to fill out some online forms and they just send you a new blade. Nice! |

Wino, from what I read, all the 4 rivet models are included. What model do you have? Mine was included, as was my daughter's. I already got an email from Cuisinart saying they are sending out a new blade. |

I have a model included in the list, but bought before 1996, which I guess was when they started making the blades in China. |

My model is the DLC-2014N and it was included in the recall, can't remember which year I got it but it would have been sometime in the early 2000s I think. I can't help wonder how long it will take to get my new blade since there are 8 MILLION recalls! Hard to imagine they'd have that many blades lying around. I was actually quite surprised to not have to provide my model's serial number for verification, just so they could eliminate fraudulent requests. I did have to send my FP back to Cuisinart one year for repair after I'd dropped it onto my tile floor and broke the spindle. I got the snottiest customer service person I've ever encountered. We had a little set-to on the phone and she made sure it took weeks for me to get my unit repaired (her accent was so thick I couldn't understand her and she didn't take it well). |

Vitamix had a similar issue a few years ago. They didn't handle it well. I had to apply for a shipping box, ship my container back, get the blade replaced, wait to get it back, which took weeks and I'm convinced I got the wrong container back - mine was pristine. What came back was dingy, scratched, and gross. They sent me a new one when I complained. Hopefully Cuisinart does better. |

Linda, I broke the spindle on my original Cuisinart and just called and they sent me a new one with a note to call back when I received it, so they could help me with the swap. It arrived very fast and I had no problems replacing it. When I burned the cord, they suggested I take it to a toaster repair shop locally which I did and had the cord replaced. |

Mine is on the recall list too. Filled out the online form yesterday. What a bad time of year for a recall. I plan to continue using my blade until I receive the new one. Any of you plan to not use the faulty blade for now? |

Some folks noticed their blade was cracked after the recall notice appeared. I've inspected mine at it looks new, so I'm using with the caveat of a thorough post use inspection each time. BTW, if you have an older Cuisinart, the old blade works on the new one. |
