Interesting, albeit it on the pricey side for a unitasker... http://www.seriouseats.com/2015/12/fourneau-bread-oven-serious-tool-for-home-bakers.html?utm_source=&utm_medium=&utm_campaign=. |

quite interesting and it'd be fun to use but I'd have to pass; I'd never be able to use it enough to justify the cost and the space to store it. |

We have an old cast iron pot that we used to make beans over a camp fire and that's what I used to make the no knead bread. It worked very well, is a multi tasker, and a hell of a lot cheaper! fitzie |

Yup, too expensive even for this gadget freak. Actually I was wondering about putting a cast iron dutch oven over it with the bread on the baking stone... wonder if that would come close to replicating it? Emilie |

I don't mind the price, but I sure mind the storage and the swapping in and out. I think the parchment sling solved the biggest weakness of the dutch oven, though allowing for a batard or demi-bagette would be very nice. |

Hmmm. I wonder how well a ceramic one would work? |
