quite interesting and it'd be fun to use but I'd have to pass; I'd never be able to use it enough to justify the cost and the space to store it.

We have an old cast iron pot that we used to make beans over a camp fire and that's what I used to make the no knead bread. It worked very well, is a multi tasker, and a hell of a lot cheaper!

Yup, too expensive even for this gadget freak. Actually I was wondering about putting a cast iron dutch oven over it with the bread on the baking stone... wonder if that would come close to replicating it?

I don't mind the price, but I sure mind the storage and the swapping in and out. I think the parchment sling solved the biggest weakness of the dutch oven, though allowing for a batard or demi-bagette would be very nice.
