Mid-winter blues can make you do silly things: decided to re-check my 5 year old Thermopen - still perfect :!:
A tumbler filled with ice and water = 32F and water boiling in the tea kettle was 208F (which is accurate at my altitude, 2,000 ft. above sea level)
Y'all can stop getting excited now... :?

Stay tuned for more exciting updates. ;)

What does it read if you take it outside, though?

Glad you mentioned this, Wino, I'm going to make it a point to test my Thermapen as well; it's been in use for a very long time now (I'm guessing 7+ years or so.)

I compare my Thermapen to my Anova circulator whenever I get the latter out. If they're within a half degree of each other I figure I'm in good shape.
