Delta just replaced our 'lifetime warranty' kitchen faucet which we installed in 2003; just needed to send a copy of the receipt and a photo of the faucet! WOW! :D

I have all the receipts for any work I did on my house. I'm glad I kept them, because they came in handy more than once.

Nice. I tape the receipt to the manual, all manuals are in a box. Every few years I go through and toss manuals for stuff we no longer have. (think VCR)

Wino, my dad was (is I guess) an accountant. I still have receipts from when the house was built in 1975. Save all my appliance, repair bills, etc. as well. I have the receipts in a folder, though I always note the date, place of purchase, model and serial number on the manual as well. For cooking stuff I also enter the info in Ingredients in a folder called Equipment in Living Cookbook (yes OCD, I know).

One of our Onkyo receivers crashed and when DH called they said it was past warranty. I dug out the receipt and we were 3 days under. He got a new sound board, etc. for free (new case as well courtesy of UPS damage).
