There's a local FB page that offers deals on "stuff." Some of it great, some of it dreck, but somebody posted about an All American canner that cans 7 qts. at a time.

Anyone have experience with this brand? Thoughts?

I don't have one, but if it's the one I think it is, the nice thing about it is that it has no seal - the lid and base are machined to seal tightly without a pesky rubber gasket. I've eyed one, but I have a glass cooktop and I am afraid of putting a big canner on it.

Well, the person who asked for it first backed out, so I'm getting it!

Let the canning begin!

I really wish it were summer. A local farm stand has amazing deals on really great tomatoes...I really look forward to canning some this September.

What are you going to can? I haven't canned anything for a while & am getting antsy. I like doing soups & stews, but need some new ideas for other things.

I'm not sure. I think of it so much more as a summertime activity when I want to put up fruits and veggies in season. Open to suggestions!
