I know some folks have had problems, but if anyone is looking for a thermapen, this is a decent deal.

Almost three weeks and still no Thermapen. Frank, did you get yours?

I tracked mine and it was left at the Front door. I haven't seen a package at my front door, so I am hoping it's inside the screen door even though I keep it locked.

I don't know how they opened the screen door, but they did.

Three day private sale on red Thermapens, $85 through midnight, March 9. Targeted offer (but maybe a friend can buy you one ;) ).

Thermapens may be pro-kitchen proof, but not 15-month-old girl proof. I might have to buy one, mine is not likely to survive the summer as the case has managed to pry open a little and is probably much more water damage prone ... hmm...

Paul,

Hate to say it, but I think you are right. Both times my Thermapen has had to be repaired, they cited corrosion from water. I find that odd as the tip is the only thing that comes close to water, and I've always held it so water couldn't get close to the case. And, I live in one of the most arid climates imaginable.
