My bowl came yesterday. I was very nervous when I saw the size of the box that was used for shipping, but the bowl was fine and it is in excellent shape. What would we do without Ebay?

Tell me about it. I was looking for a minor generator part and the first website wanted $10 to ship a $5 part. On eBay I found it for $6 and free shipping.

I opened the box that had my bowl in it on Wednesday. It wasn't broken and it looked fine, so I set it on the counter. Last night I picked up the bowl and I felt a chip in the handle. It isn't that noticeable and not sharp, but I am disappointed because the description said it was in Excellent shape. I filed a complaint with Ebay and the seller did contact me offering me a full credit and I get to keep the bowl. Should I take the credit or just go ahead let the seller keep the money. I am bummed, because there were other bowls for sale that I could have bid on.

Minor imperfections are appropriately named; most things I have and people I know have them.....

eBay has rules: any chips, scratches, crazing, cutlery marks should be clearly described. The seller is obviously aware of this custom in advertising (and hopefully it was an oversight), and is offering a refund as an apology for violating that norm. I suspect return shipping might be as much as the item cost, so this seems like a fair offer (and prevents a damaging negative review that harms future sales). I'd probably accept.

I received an email today from Ebay stating that I received a full credit for my purchase. The seller didn't even wait until I contacted her, she just did it on her own.

That's nice and the sign of a good seller. It would be nice to acknowledge that in feedback.

Amy

P.S. Are you going to try and a get another one without a chip? Chips can be irritating, but not to everyone.

Yes, I will try to get one without a chip, but not from Ebay.
