Darcie, it really was.

SS, i'm with you. the only useful ones I can see are the sandwich maker (for students/singles) and the lime slicer (for bartenders)
Niche market stuff.

Some gadgets are really tools for doing volume work, like the lime wedger. Cutting one lime? A knife is grand. Cutting dozens of limes? The wedger is better.
The rest of the bunch, however, are just plain silly.

the scary thing is that I was already aware of all of those
devices.

now, if someone would only create a device for quick splitting and juicing key limes ...
