I am not familiar with that scale, but does it have a cal function? Does it have anything on the bottom? I would think that the screws under the weighing plate would not be the ones, because the calibrate you have to put something on the scale, so unless they are easily rotated while the plate is on, I think you need to look elsewhere. Have you called Oxo support? PS, nothing in the manual? |

I believe that OXO scales and most other high capacity scales calibrate themselves electronically every time they go through a startup sequence. If an OXO scale with a new set of batteries fails to register the correct weight, OXO should repair or replace it under their guarantee of satisfaction. Mine is a bit over five years old and still weighs a 100 gram reference weight perfectly anywhere on the platform. |

Nothing on the bottom or sides. Nothing in the manual. It may be as Jim says and it is electronic. It is weighing within one gram more or less when tested with a reference weight. It isn't so much that I need to calibrate this one now, but I need to buy a 600 gram weight to calibrate my smaller jeweler's scale that I use for cure and mod ingredients, so I wanted to buy whatever this scale needs at the same time. Amazon doesn't have good choices, so if am buying from a specialty retailer I wanted to do it at once. FYI, http://www.oldwillknottscales.com/ had the best prices on calibration weights that I could find, in case anyone else is interested. Thanks, --Lisa |

I am having problems with my old Salter scale. I am exceeding the scale's capacity regularly. After the 3rd time getting an error in the middle of weighing for bread, I've decided I need a new scale with a larger weight capacity. I think both Dave and Todd have the Baker's percentage one from Amazon. Are you guys still happy with it using it as a scale (i.e., apart from the %)? TIA |

Yes, I am very happy with it. It is one of those that you can tare out and exceed the 5 lbs limit, though I try not to go too far over. I don't use the % too often, though it does come in handy, using some of those books. |
