It's in the market (in the very core) if he really wants to go :)

Paul,

Ye gods and little fishes!

Ok, when I'm in Ottawa in May, you and I will need to go there. Assuming it's still in business ...

So, some more culinary crap courtesy of TWTFS.com:

You know that trick you saw on YouTube about how you could use an empty plastic water bottle to separate eggs? Well, not one, but two manufacturers have decided that what can be done with a free platic water bottle can obviously be done better with a $10 rubber bulb:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BK7 ... =natdee-20
http://www.amazon.com/Talisman-Designs- ... f=rec_dp_0

I will also point out that the search phrase "egg separator" gets 386 hits on Amazon. What's wrong with the darned shell?

A set of nested, hard-to-use knives for $741 (You Save: $257): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002JT ... =natdee-20

The "customer" reviews are particularly worthwhile. I adore this one:

"I love this knife set, as I have medical condition where my handgrip size changes in relation to the Fibonacci series."

And this one:
"5.0 out of 5 stars: Great for boring car rides March 30, 2013
The pristine hollowed cut of this knife set allows me to hold it out the car window with no drag. It has a precise cut through oxygen, water vapor, nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide with no difficulty. When I previously used conventional un-hollowed knives, the knife would eventually fly out of my fingers before 60 mph. The precision of these knifes are above the ninja levels."

FWIW, food safety experts advise against using the shell to separate eggs because any contaminants on the shell can be transferred into the egg. That said, I do it anyway. (such a rebel)

I like this one, for those who don't want to make uniform cuts in their food, and give it a personal touch: "Now rather than subjecting the knife to the narrow constraints of my rote technique, the blade is free to cut where it feels it should go. Instead of a boring uniform julienne, every piece of cut food is like a snowflake, unique in shape and size."

It's a one-trick pony, but it apparently really performs the heck out of that trick.

The sandwich in the article doesn't really look like the one in the video. :(

That was actually featured on a segment of the Today Show yesterday.
