It looks like I can begin our kitchen remodel in a few months, so I am starting to look for a new range. I will probably get electric since the budget won't allow dual fuel. I would like your input on a few features because there is no one stove that has them all (at least not in my price range).

Do you have the following features and if so, how much do you use/like them?
    Warming drawer
    Dual ovens (in a range, not wall ovens)
    Keep Warm burner
    Bridge burner
    Power burner (3k watts)
    Proofing/dehydrating feature
    5+ burners
    One-touch chicken nugget button*

Also I'd like any feedback you have on burner configuration. Thanks for your input!

*That is an available feature on at least one model. Armaggedon must be right around the corner.

I have a dual fuel, out of the features I have (GE profile):

Dual ovens (in a range, not wall ovens) - not often but it's handy so I'm ditching the stove in the basement- my top oven is BIG, the bottom one goes to 450 but is more of a warming drawer size.
Keep Warm burner - my back right burner must be one of these....cause it certainly doesn't heat anything quickly. I rarely use.
Power burner - my two front burners have a power boil setting, love them
Proofing/dehydrating feature - don't have but oven goes down to 170, which is nice, am drying tomatoes in it right now.
5+ burners- I have the oval middle burner with optional griddle, use it about once a month, maybe a bit more. Good for grilled cheese, pancakes, etc.
One-touch chicken nugget button* - don't have....and I agree. I guess it's too much to ask people to read the box on their processesed foods to determine how long and what temperature to use. :roll:

Well, based on what I use at my in-laws:

Warming drawer

Extremely useful. Holding food, warming plates, warming up bread and tortillas. In my fantasy kitchen, I'd have two. However, it's important that it be at least knee height or higher; one down by the floor is very hard to use.

Dual ovens (in a range, not wall ovens)

Depends on how much you bake and/or throw big dinner parties. If you're cooking for more than 7 people, or doing a lot of holiday baking, invaluable. The rest of the time, one oven will be cold.

Keep Warm burner

Never found it useful. Warming drawer is better.

One-touch chicken nugget button

Very useful. With the quick action of the button, I can produce enough instant chicken nuggets to keep the zombie hordes fed for long enough for my family to escape.

Hi Darcie,

You do not mention "pure" convection with the heat source behind the fan which operates at high speed. We have this feature which sprays grease all over the oven; one chicken and you have to clean the oven. We just do not use the feature.

Our choices are a bit skewed by our cooking style but here goes:

    Dual ovens:
      Our second oven is a microwave/convection oven with a 17" X8" opening.
      This is our warming drawer, keep warm burner, proofer, deheydrater and second oven. It holds a large roasting pan.

      Our third oven is the large Breville Smart Oven, with temperatures ranging from 120-450 + 500F broil. It is a great toaster, broiler, baking oven, warming drawer, proofer, deheydrater etc.

    Bridge burner: We never burn a bridge behind us!

    One-touch chicken nugget button: I have honestly never touched a chickens nugget.

I'm a little confused, you say you are likely going electric because duel fuel would be too expensive. Do you have access to NG or LG, but are choosing not to go that direction?

Thanks everyone, that's exactly the kind of input I am looking for!

Amy, I don't like gas ovens (bad experiences with one). The good news is that DH says if I really want dual fuel I can get one and we'll take it out of the budget somewhere else (I think he will build an exhaust fan/hood using a spare furnace fan and we can use the savings toward the stove).

I'd never sacrifice a gas cooktop in order to have an electric oven, but that's me. I love my BlueStar which is gas.

Look at the Electrolux dual fuel with lower oven, which also acts as a warming drawer. I recommended it to my SIL and she loves it.
