I remember everything being "Avocado," "Rust," or "Harvest Gold." I can't say much about avocado - I suspect it's showing up in a lot of kitchens again, if only for the ironic statement. My gran had the rust color scheme which was very dark and gloomy. The Harvest Gold was really pretty, I thought. I had a Harvest Gold kitchen in an apartment I had in the mid '90's and it was very warm and bright.
I guess it was too much color. When my parents built a house in the early eighties, they went with the current trend -- almond. Actually, that's the color of the appliances I inherited in my current kitchen. At this rate, I should have granite and stainless steel by 2020.
