I've now had a chance to put a lot of use to some adorable bright orange gratin baking dishes that came from Macy's under the Martha Stewart brand.

While I love the shape and size and color, I am finding that the gorgeous enamel coloring has dulled with dishwasher use.

I'll be curious to see how others are finding all the bargain priced LC knockoff pieces, after they have had a chance to give them a workout. My LC has always been thought of as investment cookware (heck, I name who it goes to in my will), but these are more fleeting.

I have one knock off from QVC's own brand called Technique. I use if primarily for the no knead bread and it works great and cleans up great. I've given it along with the bread and recipe as gifts and no complaints.
I don't put it in the diswasher and I don't put my LC in the dishwasher, so can't tell you how it might react.

I'm glad your's is working well for you Ilene. Mine will stay out of the dishwasher from now on.

I also noticed Chantal brand enameled cast iron at my TJMaxx last week. The colors were beautiful and the finishes were really nice.

If it can't go in the dishwasher, I don't want to know about it.

The only exception are the knives and the cast iron.
