I happened upon a wonderful electric pepper mill, NO it does not plug in,it uses AAA batteries, all you have to do is turn it upside down, and like magic you have fresh ground pepper, this is wonderful for my carpel tunnel.

I bought one and used it for a week and then bought 3 more for gifts, it is fabulous. You get the grind exactly as you want and do not have to be in pain to get fresh ground pepper in any amount you need!

It is called Graviti and is not expensive, about $19.00, Amazon carries it.

:D

Sunny,

I know how much your carpel tunnel bothers you...what a great gadget to find!

My MIL bought a couple of the new Good Grips pepper mills. I've been avoiding thinking about them; they're ugly chrome junk ... but they really do grind pepper well and consistently.

http://www.amazon.com/OXO-Good-Grips-Pe ... B001CDP6EE

What's even more fun is that they're confusing-looking, so that on a first try, people (such has my wife) have a tendency to pick them up and unscrew the top, thinking they're grinding pepper. Peppercorns everywhere!

We got this one for my in-laws:

It works by simpling turning it upside down so no buttons to push. They are very happy with it.

Fuzzy,

They're a dang sight prettier than the old Oxo mills, which also work really well and forever so that I never have an excuse the replace the eyesore.

Can this be a general discussion of gadgets or am I hijacking. Oh well, Fat Guy will pop in if necesscary :)

I love the Messermeister serrated peeler, I'm sure you have heard me yak about this before. Funny thing, I needed another one and got the OXO as I am in a rural area and have no supply for Messermeister here. The OXO is deadly - it is styled a little differently and is really really easy to cut yourself with. The serrated blade is absolutely razor sharp and easy to get into contact with the finger.

I did not think there would be such a huge difference. They both work nicely, but that oxo scares me. Next trip to the Twin Cities or Amazon.com and I will be stocking up on a few spare Messermeisters for sure.

Sunny I love the idea of a one handed peppermill. One of them is on my wish list.

I ordered one of the Graviti mills for my grandson's 12th birthday. He is a pepper junkie!
