Yeah, I've thought of building my own wood-fired oven ... it wouldn't be hard.
Thing is, refractory brick and refractory cement is $$$expensive. I did the math, pre-made oven wouldn't be much more than it would cost me to build one from scratch. Also, where would I put it?
I do have to take issue with one thing, though:

inorganic. Or it's going to catch fire when you heat it up. (inorganic == containing no carbon)
