This is my all-time favorite pie ever. My mom made this every Thanksgiving and Christmas. She used Nonesuch. One in-store bakery here in town makes them and they're excellent. I have a jar of Nonesuch and I make a super crust with leaf lard and butter. I think I'll go with that this year. Anyone else make their own mince pie? |

This is one pie that I have never liked! It was my dad's favorite and my mom made it every Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I just couldn't eat it….bring on the apple and berry pies! |

I love mince pie, and a real mincemeat pie is even better. I've used the store-bought filling, and one medieval recipe that I can't remember where I found it, alas. |

While not a huge fan I was asked to bring one to a TG dinner many years ago and made it with Nonesuch. It was pretty damn good, but never became part of the rotation or part of our tradition. |
