I saw this recipe on the ATK feed and made it today. It is crazy good! Flaky, tender & crispy, with really good filling. And not difficult or time-consuming at all to make. I'm REALLY having a hard time not eating half of one. (And something nice about it is that it has to be chilled before baking, up to 12 hours. So would be suited to making one day and then baking the next morning for breakfast.) Figured I'd post it just in case anyone has a hankering for danish pastry this weekend!

Emilie,

I have kringlephobia, actually. Family members from Racine used to send me frozen kringles every Christmas, which tasted almost exactly like frosted cardboard. We tried to give them to the food bank but they gave them back (really).

That looks fantastic. Luckily, I was never traumatized by pastry. I will have to save that for when I am feeling decadent!
